Deep in the ancient rainforests of southwestern Uganda, something extraordinary happens. You push through thick vegetation, climb muddy slopes, and follow the trail of broken branches and fresh dung. Then, suddenly, your guide signals for silence. And there they are a family of mountain gorillas, going about their day as if you were never there

Why Choose Uganda for Gorilla Trekking?
Reason | Why It Matters |
Home to Over Half the World’s Mountain Gorillas | Uganda protects nearly 50% of the remaining mountain gorilla population over 450 individuals in Bwindi alone. |
More Affordable than Rwanda | Uganda gorilla permits cost $800 per person, compared to $1,500 in Rwanda. You get the same life-changing experience at a fraction of the cost. |
The Gorilla Habituation Experience | Uganda is the only country offering a 4-hour gorilla habituation experience a deeper, more immersive encounter. |
Combine with Classic Safaris | Unlike Rwanda, Uganda allows you to combine gorilla trekking with savannah game drives, chimpanzee tracking, and boat safaris in a single trip. |
Authentic Rainforest Vibe | Uganda offers a wild, immersive rainforest experience that feels raw and untouched |
