Why Choose Uganda for Gorilla Trekking?

Reason

Why It Matters

Home to Over Half the World’s Mountain Gorillas

Uganda protects nearly 50% of the remaining mountain gorilla population over 450 individuals in Bwindi alone.

More Affordable than Rwanda

Uganda gorilla permits cost $800 per person, compared to $1,500 in Rwanda. You get the same life-changing experience at a fraction of the cost.

The Gorilla Habituation Experience

Uganda is the only country offering a 4-hour gorilla habituation experience a deeper, more immersive encounter.

Combine with Classic Safaris

Unlike Rwanda, Uganda allows you to combine gorilla trekking with savannah game drives, chimpanzee tracking, and boat safaris in a single trip.

Authentic Rainforest Vibe

Uganda offers a wild, immersive rainforest experience that feels raw and untouched
